Isaac and Helen (Warkentin) Thiessen celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with a program and reception for family and friends June 12.

The couple was married June 9, 1935, at Springfield Krimmer Mennonite Brethren Church in Lehigh. They spent most of their married life on a farm north of Lehigh and operated a custom combining business for 30 years.

The reception was hosted by their children, Gerald and Joyce Kessler and Arlene Schale, all of Hillsboro, Ken and Carol Geabhart of Hesston, Bryce and Karen York of Kansas City, and Paul and Ella Mae Thiessen of Wichita.

Also hosting were 11 grandchildren and their spouses, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
