The Marion County Special Education Cooperative Board of Directors will meet for its monthly meeting at 7 p.m., Monday, June 20, in the MCSEC conference room at 302 W. 8th in Florence.
A social event will be held at 6 p.m. for board members and office staff.
Lincolnville student wins FFA contest
Jackie Klenda, a member of the Centre High School FFA Chapter, recently was named the organization's state swine production-placement winner.
She received a $100 check and will advance to the national competition.
The swine production-placement event tested how well competitors used available management practices to efficiently produce and market swine.
The award program was sponsored by Akey Inc. and Philbro Animal Health.
HRC summer drama
to perform June 17
Students participating in the Hillsboro Recreation Commission's summer drama program will present separate productions on Friday, June 17.
Children in grades one through six will present "Fairy Tales on the Marse Frontier" by Jeannette Jaquish at 1:30 p.m.
The play tells the story of three "bad" little bees and the Weather Bear. The performance culminates a week-long program.
Middle school and high school students will perform the musical "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" at 7 p.m.
Both plays are directed by Lynn Just and will be performed in the Hillsboro High School Auditorium.
Admission to the presentations is free.

Farewell reception planned for Kuhns
The Hillsboro United Methodist Church is planning a farewell reception for pastoral couple R. Laney and Emmogene Kuhn from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, June 26.
The reception will be in the HUMC fellowship hall, accessed by the south entrance of the church building.
Kuhns' last day of service in Hillsboro will be June 26. He will assume a similar position in Haysville beginning July 3.
The public is invited to attend the farewell.
