Richard B. Francis, 63, U.S. Army veteran, died June 6 in Wichita.
The funeral was Monday morning at Florence United Methodist Church with Les and Linda Allison officiating. Burial was at the Hillcrest Cemetary in Florence.
He was born May 15, 1942, in Concord, Mass.
He is survived by his wife Laura of Florence; two sons; two step-sons, Micah Bailey of Florence and Eric Bailey of Huntsville, Texas; a step-daughter, Mitzi Beth Bailey of College Station, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
Ida Frantz, 89
Ida Frantz, 89, homemaker, died June 7 in Hillsboro.
The funeral service was June 11 at First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro. Pastor Mike Frantz officiated. Burial was at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 16, 1917, to David and Anna Schwemmer Senner in Tampa. In 1935 she was married to Abe Frantz, who predeceased her.
She is survived by three sons, Vernon Frantz of Rose Hill, Lauren Frantz of Wichita and Mike Frantz of Elgin, Ill.; a brother, Larry Senner of Abilene; two sisters, Anna Mae Goertz of Durham and Jeanette Schimming of Herington; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church.
Emma Friesen, 95
Emma Friesen, retired grocery-store proprietor, died June 11 in Hillsboro.
The funeral is 10:30 a.m. today, June 15, at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro, with pastor Dave Plett officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. June 18 at Delft Cemetery in Delft, Minn.
She was born Sept. 4, 1909, to Abraham and Susanne Ewert Wiebe in Bingham Lake, Minn. In 1931 she was married to Peter Friesen, who predeceased her in 1962.
She is survived by one son, Eugene Friesen of New Hope, Minn.; two daughters, Nadine Friesen and Brenda Hamm, both of Hillsboro; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been established with World Impact Ranch, Tabor College and Mennonite Brethren Missions/Services International.
Alice Geyer, 91
Alice F. Geyer, 91, retired school teacher, died June 5 at Trego Lemke Memorial Hospital in WaKeeney.
The funeral was June 9 at First United Methodist in WaKeeney. Pastor Deb Harvey officiated. Burial was at WaKeeney City Cemetery.
She was born July 31, 1913, to John and Anna DeVries Grusing in Kearny County. In 1941 she was married to Virgil L. Geyer, who predeceased her in 1999.
She is survived by two sons, Galen and Angela Geyer of WaKeeney and Merle and Freda Geyer of Lawrence; two daughters, Leila Geyer of Lincoln and Carolyn and Sam Garbo of Hillsboro; two sisters, Edith Litton of Lakin and Clara Warrington of Kendall; three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been established with Trego County Historical Society and First United Methodist Church.
Harry Heiser, 85
Harry Edward Heiser, 85, retired farmer, died June 6 at Hillsboro Community Medical Center Long Term Care Unit.
The funeral was June 8 at Strassburg Baptist Church with pastor Don Mashburn officiating. Burial was at Lewis Cemetery in Ramona.
He was born Dec. 1, 1919, to John and Mary Kleiber Heiser on a farm near Ramona. In 1946 he was married to Irma Lucille Vogel, who survives.
He is also survived by a daughter, Mary Lou and Jarvis Seaman of Valley Center; a son, Larry and Kim Heizer of Hillsboro; two sisters, Neva Heidebrecht of Lincoln, Neb., and Leona Fessler of Emporia; two brothers, Charles of Ramona and John C. of Herington; and six grandchildren.
Memorials have been established with Strassburg Baptist Church and Salem Nursing Home.
David Helmer, 90
David Helmer, 90, retired farmer and founder of the Marion Cooperative Grain & Supply, died June 6 at St. Luke Living Center in Marion.
The funeral was June 9 at Marion Christian Church, with pastor Carl Helm officiating. Burial was at Marion Cemetery.
He was born June 5, 1915, to David Sr. and Anna (Eberhardt) Helmer in Burstall, Sask., Canada. In 1938 he was married to Eldena Schlotthauer, who survives.
He is also survived by three sons, Gary and Beverly Helmer of Hillsboro, Ladd and Luci Helmer and Darrel Helmer, all of Marion; two brothers, George Helmer of Newton, Fred and Ezra Helmer of Marion; one sister, Ann Boese of Marion; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Millie McMurray, 76
Milly McMurray, 76, retired J.C. Penney employee, died June 12 at Hospice House of Reno County in Hutchinson.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 16, at Canton United Methodist Church in Canton with pastor Richard Brooks officiating. Burial will be at Empire Cemetery in Galva.
She was born June 27, 1928 to Jacob W. and Kathryn Ediger Doerksen in Inman.
She is survived by four sons, Craig and Kelly of Los Angeles, Calif., and Michael and Brent of McPherson; two brothers, Martin Doerksen of Hutchinson and Bob Doerksen of Buhler; and two grandchildren.

Wes Pankratz, 82
Wes Pankratz, 82, retired farmer and stockman, died June 7 in Hillsboro.
The funeral was June 11 at Trinity Mennonite Church in Hillsboro, following burial at Haven of Rest Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 23, 1922, to Peter D. and Mary Funk Pankratz. In 1948 he was married to Erma Hiebert, who survives.
He is also survived by two sons, Dean and Donna Pankratz of Bennett, Colo., and Bob Pankratz of St. Louis, Mo.; two daughters, Janet and Gary Duerksen of Lehigh, and Karen and Ed Schultz of Alpha, Ill.; one sister, Alice Harms of Parsons; 10 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

She was born Oct. 21, 1926, to Adolph and Ida Weber in Shady Brook. In 1948 she was married to Irvin Teetzen, who predeceased her in 1997.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth of Ramona; a daughter, Janet and Joseph Mallon of St. George; one brother, Eldon and Emma Weber of Herington; and two grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with St. John's Lutheran Church.
Marlyn Unruh, 78
L. Marlyn Unruh, 78, carpenter and farmer, died June 11 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.
The funeral was Tuesday afternoon at the Goessel Mennonite Church with pastor Kevin Goertzen and Chaplain Walt Friesen officiating. A private family burial was held at Goessel Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 10, 1928, to Albert and Minnie Lehrmen Unruh in Goessel. In 1951 he was married to Delores Dirksen, who predeceased him in 1996.
He is survived by two daughters, Annette Unruh of Newton and Susan Reitz of Salina; a sister, Evelyn Schmidt of Goessel; a sister-in-law, Agnes Unruh of Goessel; and four grandchildren.
