Jesica Brucks and Audrey Schellenberg, both Maize High School athletes from Wichita, have signed letters to play volleyball at Tabor College next season, according to coach Amy Ratzlaff.
"From the minute I met these two athletes, I knew they were exactly what the team was looking for: winning attitudes, great work ethics and dedication to academics," said Ratzlaff. "Audrey and Jesica will add so much to our team as well as the Tabor environment."
Brucks, a 5-7 outside hitter, was a volleyball and academic letter winner.
Schellenberg, a 5-6 setter, earned honorable-mention all-league and Kansas Honor Scholar titles, and is a member of the National Honor Society.
The Maize Eagles were sub-state champions in Class 6A in 2003 and 2004.
Both athletes have parents with Hillsboro connections. Brucks is the daughter of Paul and Nancy Brucks and Audrey is the daughter of Marv and Andrea Schellenberg.
