Ronald and Dora (Duerksen) Unruh will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a dinner for family and close friends June 12.

The couple were married June 1, 1955, at the Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in Goessel.

They have lived on a farm northwest of Durham all of their married life. Dora is employed by USD 410 in the middle school and high school cafeterias.

The event is hosted by their children, Brenda and Jim Enns of Hillsboro, Deb and Lon Hiebert of Peabody, Mark and Barb Unruh of Durham and Warren and Anita Unruh of Tampa. The couple also have nine grandchildren.

They observed their anniversary in early spring with a trip to Hawaii.

O'Dells to celebrate 50th anniversary

Delano and Barbara O'Dell of Florence will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary June 5 with a family dinner and card shower.

The couple were married June 5, 1955, in Clements.

Delano retired from local law enforcement after serving 20 years. Barbara has worked for Marion County for 14 years.

The event is hosted by their children, Michael O'Dell, Scott O'Dell and Dianne and Don Burnett, all of Marion; and grandchildren, Erin and Shawn Markley of Lee's Summit, Mo., and Caitlin O'Dell of Marion.
