Martin and Fran (McKinzie) Rhodes will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception for family and friends May 28.

The couple were married May 29, 1955, at First Baptist Church in Fort Cobb, Okla. They spent most of their married life in Amarillo, Texas, and Lawton, Okla., before semi-retiring to Hillsboro in 1997.

Their children are Sherrie and Ruben Lovato of Amarillo, Donna and Kirby Fadenrecht of Hillsboro and Janet and Ted Jones of Houston, Texas. Grandchildren are Nathan Lovato, Elise Canode and husband Ryan, Seth Lovato, Risa Fadenrecht, Macy Fadenrecht, Parker Jones, Bailey Jones and McKinzie Jones. Great-grandchildren are Andrew and Christian Canode.

Funks to celebrate 40th, renew vows

Lester and Donna Funk will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary with a renewal of their vows at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at First Mennonite Church of Hillsboro.

A reception will follow immediately afterward at the church.

The couple were married June 4, 1965.

Their children, Stuart, Rochelle and Nichole, invite the public to attend the ceremony and reception.
