Lighters no, matches OK?
Sometimes I wonder who is running the show in Washington.
Recently, I read passengers can no longer carry a cigarette lighter onto an airplane, which makes sense and, besides, I don't need one anyway. The lighter has to be packed in the luggage that you check at the baggage counter- but you can carry on up to four books of matches.
Please help me. I don't get it.

We had some inexpensive rice the other night. It didn't taste bad, but there were all of these little hard things in it purt'n near broke my teeth. I think they were just little stones that got in there at the packing plant.
If a person ends up at the dentist with broken teeth, that rice is not very inexpensive. Is "purt'n near" a word?

Speaking of eating problems, I was wondering how many people suffer from biting the inside of their cheek, making it swell and get in the way. Then, just about the time it's healed, you bite it again and start the problem all over again.
For a while you have to blow out your cheeks just to get your teeth back together.

Hangnails and burning your tongue aren't fun either. I can't remember how many times I've tried to pull the hangnail skin off only to tear it deeper and making a real mess of it. A clipper is definitely the way to go, but that takes too long, I guess.

There are many "Did something" awards that could be presented based on what is planned, or has recently happened, in Hillsboro. I am sure I have missed a few, but here goes:
-- An announcement by Parkside Homes to break ground to build two new park homes that will provide 12 private rooms each, plus the installation of a sprinkler system at Park Village in order to offer assisted-living options.
-- One to Cooperative Grain & Supply for demolishing the old feed mill with plans for a new scale that will no longer force trucks and tractors with grain to block Ash Street during harvest.
-- Tom and Ken Koslowsky deserve one for putting new siding on the former B&B Handyman/Hillsboro Lumber building, which now houses Kintech Inc. It improved the looks of the old building 1,000 percent.
-- Quick Flick/Radio Shack for moving to the 101 S. Main building and making it first class in every way. The bonus is that its former location is now fixed up for a new business. Rumors are that one is coming, but I heard it is just a rumor.
-- New ownership for Hillsboro Industries that will carry it into the future. This is a great development for Hillsboro and the entire area.
I think the above items might just be the tip of the iceberg. More improvements are in the works. Hang on to your hats.

You can get this fruit tea blast drink that has all kinds of helpful and healthy ingredients in it. One of them is to help you remember stuff, but I can't think of what the other ones do.
