The Tabor College men's and women's basketball teams had players recognized last week as All-Americans for the performance on the court and in the classroom.
For the men, junior point guard Grant Brubacher received honorable mention selection in the NAIA Division II team.
Brubacher was instrumental in leading the Bluejays to the the Kansas College Athletic Association regular-season title and a berth in the national tournament. He averaged 10 points (second on team) and 2.6 assists per game.
For the women, junior shooting guard Erica Hemmert also received honorable mention.
Hemmert led the Bluejays to the KCAC regular-season title and a berth in the national tournament by leading the team in scoring (13.6 points per contest) and assists (3.3) and was second in rebounding (5.7).
Hemmert and Shannon Kroeker were named to the NAIA Academic All-American team.
To be selected as an academic all-American, students must be in at least their third year of school and maintain a grade-point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
