Kay Ewert, 55

Kaye Christine Ewert, 55, of Canton, employee of State Bank of Canton and an insurance agent for Loewen Insurance Agency in Canton, died Jan. 25 at Memorial Hospital in McPherson.

The funeral was Jan. 28 at Canton United Methodist Church with pastor Richard Brooks officiating. Burial was at Canton Township Cemetery.

She was born June 11, 1949, to Leland and Elsie (Unruh) Unruh in Goessel. On Oct. 28, 1967, she was married to Dwight H. Ewert, who survives.

She is also survived by her parents of Canton; two daughters, Brenda Ewert of Canton and Amy Shelton of Auburn, Wash.; three sisters, Glenda Schmidt of McPherson, Jan Nightingale of Galva and June Unruh of Springfield, Colo.; and one grandson.

A memorial has been established with the Canton United Methodist Church Choir in care of Olson's mortuary of Canton.

Flossie Jackson, 104

Flossie Helen Jackson, 104, of Marion, teacher and homemaker, died Jan. 25 in Marion.

The funeral was Jan. 27 at Florence United Methodist Church with pastor George Lespagnard officiating. Burial was at Cedar Point Cemetery.

She was born Dec. 18, 1900, to Thomas and Lillie Adams in rural Lyon County. On Sept. 30, 1922, she was married to Ralph Jackson, who predeceased her in 1959.

She is survived by one sister, Ethel Maddern of Fairbury, Neb.; one daughter-in-law, Marjorie Jackson of Cedar Point; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials have been established with the Florence Library and Florence United Methodist Church.

Wesley H. Unruh, 97

Wesley H. Unruh, 97, farmer, died Jan. 28 at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.

The funeral will be Friday, Feb. 4, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Mennonite Church in Hillsboro with pastor D. A. Raber officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. at Peace Valley Cemetery in rural Durham.

The family will receive guests from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb., 3, at Jost Funeral Home.

He was born Jan. 11, 1908, to Henry P. and Millie Schmidt Unruh northwest of Durham. On May 15, 1931, he was married to Ellen Pankratz, predeceased in 1990.

He is survived by two sons, Junior W. and Shirley Unruh of Hutchinson and Ronald and Dora Unruh of Durham, and Arvid L. and Julie Unruh of Brandon, Fla.; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial is established for Central Heights Mennonite Church.
