Tabor women win 64-34, men capture 85-60 victory
The 11th ranked Tabor College women downed the Saint Mary Spires Saturday night in Leavenworth by a score of 64-34.
Tabor led by 11 points at halftime but pulled away early in the second period on the way to the convincing win.
Erica Hemmert led the Bluejays recording a double-double, scoring 15 points while hauling in 12 rebounds as Tabor won its 13th straight game.
With the win, Tabor holds on to sole possession of first place in the KCAC with an 11-1 conference record while improving to 18-4 overall.
The Tabor men had a similarly easy time, downing the Spires 85-60.
Martin de Boer controlled the paint on his way to 22 points as the Bluejays captured their fourth straight win to improve to 14-8 overall and 8-4 in KCAC play, just one game out of first place.
Tabor returns home Thursday night, hosting the McPherson Bulldogs with the women's game set to begin at 6:00 p.m.
