Bluejay women win 48-43 in overtime, men fall 69-63 The Tabor College women and Bethany Lady Swedes combined for 57 turnovers and the Bluejays hit just 18 percent of their second half shots but Tabor still had enough to capture a 48-43 overtime win in Hillsboro Thursday night.

Tabor led 21-15 at halftime but fell behind by eight points with nine minutes to play before mounting a comeback to send the game into an extra period.

In that extra five minutes, Tabor outscored the visitors 8-3 to capture the ragged win.

Tabor was led by two freshmen, Stacie Herman and Katie Fast, who both scored 12 points, and Erica Hemmert who added 10.

Tabor finished the game hitting 25.8 percent while Bethany hit 29.1 percent from the field.

With the win, Tabor maintains at least a share of the KCAC lead with a 6-1 record and improves to 13-4 overall.

The Tabor men weren't as fortunate, dropping a 69-63 decision to the KCAC leading Swedes.

Tabor led 32-30 at halftime and built a 58-50 lead with just over four minutes to play, but Bethany finished the game on a 19-5 run to go back to Lindsborg with another victory.

Tabor was led by Grant Brubacher with 17 points, Andy Brubacher added 12, and Pat Miller and Martin de Boer both scored 10 points in the Bluejay loss.

Tabor falls to 4-3 in conference play and 10-7 overall.

The Bluejays hit the road Saturday, traveling to Sterling with the women set to tip off at 5:00.
