Nelson, Regier exchange vows

Angela Nelson and Ryan Regier were married July 24 at Marysville United Methodist Church with pastors Larry King and Gerry Sharp officiating the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Stanley and Joyce Nelson of Marysville. The groom is the son of Rex and Marion Regier of Hillsboro.

Grandparents are Isla Nelson of Lost Springs, the late Eldon Nelson, Maxine Kyles of Beatrice, Neb., and Jack and Evelyn Regier of Hillsboro.

Maid of honor was Kristina Nelson of Marysville, sister of the bride. Best man was Matt Regier of Newton, friend of the groom.

Bridesmaids were Christa Joy of Des Moines, Iowa, and Elizabeth Splitter of Lorraine, both friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Jennifer Nelson of Lenexa, cousin of the bride.

The bride's personal attendant was Tia Regier of Kansas City, friend of the bride. Flower girl was Macy Rosenthal of Arlington, Neb., cousin of the bride.

Groomsmen were CJ Regier of Wichita, brother of the groom, and Nate Tofteland of Wichita, friend of the groom.

Ring bearer was Adam Kroeker of Augusta, cousin of the groom.

Ushers were Joey Smallwood of Gaithersburg, Md., Brian Kroeker of Hesston and Mike Hedges of Arnold, Md., all friends of the groom; and Jason Shrum of Wichita, cousin of the groom.

Musicians were Steve Hanneman of Hillsboro, uncle of the bride; Deanette Eis of Marion, friend of the couple; and Tia Regier.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white A-line wedding gown of brushed satin. The gown featured a V-neckline, decorative beading around the waist and a chapel-length train. The veil was handmade and accompanied by a beaded comb made by Jillian Brown of Minneapolis, friend of the bride.

The bride carried a bouquet of white and yellow daisies and yellow lilies.

The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Helvering Center.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Marysville High School and plans to graduate from Tabor College with a degree in elementary education in December. She is employed at Prairie View in Marion.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Hillsboro High School and graduated from Tabor College in 2002 with a degree in youth ministry. He is youth pastor at Hillsboro United Methodist Church and is employed at Wiebe Siding & Remodeling in Hillsboro.

Following a honeymoon in Jackson Hole, Wyo., the couple resides in Hillsboro.
