Lewis G. and LaVada (David) Hagen of Hillsboro celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family celebration dinner, Dec. 10, at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson.
The couple were married Dec. 20, 1954, at Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro with pastor P.R. Lange officiating.
Lewis served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1950 to 1953 and is a veteran of the Korean conflict. In 1953, he worked as a journeyman electrician until retirement in 2001.
LaVada has owned and operated The Hair Place in Hillsboro for the past 40 years.
The couple have two daughters, Coleen Koop and husband Murray and Tammy Ollenburger and husband Kenneth, all of Hillsboro; one son, John Hagen and wife Marlene of Inman; and seven grandchildren.
