Tabor women win 72-63, men cruise to 61-40 victory The Tabor College women jumped on the McPherson Bulldogs early Saturday night at McPherson and grabbed a 32-16 lead before the Bulldogs cut the margin to 32-25 at halftime.

McPherson continued to battle and caught Tabor to tie the game at 45 but a 10-0 run by the Bluejays gave Tabor the momentum to finish out the 72-63 victory.

Tabor was led by Erica Hemmert with 19, followed by Stacie Herman with 15 and Kelly Pavlik with 11.

The Bluejays won the rebounding battle 49-36 led by Donya Anderson's 15 boards.

With the win, Tabor improves to 9-4 overall and 3-1 in KCAC play while the loss was McPherson's first in conference play and boosted the Bluejays into a tie for first place.

The Tabor men led 18-4 with 7:30 to play in the first half and never looked back on the way to an easy 61-40 win over McPherson.

Balanced scoring was led by Grant Brubacher and Scott Shaffer who both had 12 points for the Bluejays.

Tabor won the battle of the boards 48-24 led by Pat Miller with 8 and Anthony Monson who hauled in 7.

With the victory, Tabor improves to 6-5 overall and evens its conference record at 2-2.

The Tabor men will travel to Emporia next Saturday to battle the Hornets while the women are on Christmas break and idle until January 6.
