Kermit and Ruth Ratzlaff of Hillsboro celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family members on July 27 through July 31 in Keyston, Colo.
Kermit Omer Ratzlaff of Balko, Okla., and Ruth Evelyn Warkentin of Dinuba, Calif., were married Aug. 11, 1944, in Los Angeles, Calif.
While living in Edwardsville, Ill., Kermit was a biology professor at Southern Illinois University for 30 years. After retirement, the couple moved to Hillsboro where they have remained active in the community.
Their children are Ken and Virginia Ratzlaff of Lawrence, Ron and Nancy Ratzlaff of St. Charles, Mo., Dave and Elizabeth Ratzlaff of Batavia, Ill., Marilyn and Warren Lovinger of Nevada, Mo., and Gene and Jewel Ratzlaff of Hopewell Junction, N.Y.
The couple have 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
