Clayton and Wanda Hamm of Marion will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary when they take their family to Kansas City, Nov. 27 through Nov 29, to see the Christmas lights.
The couple were married Nov. 22, 1953, at a Lutheran church in Claflin.
Their children are Shirley Riffel and husband John Riffel of Newton and Dennis Hamm and wife Grace of Sioux City, Iowa. They have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Nottinghams plan
50th celebration
David Sr. and Barbara (Timmis) Nottingham of Afton, Okla., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 29, at Peace Chapel, 225 W. 7th, Newton.
The Nottinghams were married Nov. 22, 1953, in Wichita. Through the years, they have lived in Wichita, Peabody, Lincoln, Neb., LaCrosse, Phoenix and Newton. They now reside at Grandlake in Afton.
The anniversary celebration will be hosted by their children, grandchildren and great-grandchild.
The Nottinghams have five sons, David Nottingham Jr. and wife Cheryl and Craig Nottingham and wife Carolyne, all of Newton; Mark Nottingham of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; Michael Nottingham and wife Diana of Parker, Colo.; and Dale Nottingham of Lawrence. The couple have 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to the reception.
