The Marion High School football team shot down the Black Bears 14-0 Friday in Sterling.
Sheldon Boone opened the scoring 2:39 into the second quarter on a 1-yard plunge and Mitchell Leppke capped the scoring minutes later, sprinting in with a 9-yard run with 2:57 left in the first half. Leppke then completed a 2-point conversion throw to Brad Klenda to whitewash over a missed PAT kick after Boone's run.

Ishmael Morris scored three first-half touchdowns to pace the Hillsboro Trojans to a commanding 35-7 win at Lyons on Friday.
“We actually played both sides of the ball tonight,” coach Len Coryea said. “I thought it was going to be a pretty tight game, but we just came out sharp.”
Tabor College hosted its home cross country meet Saturday at Cottonwood point, with the women placing seventh out of 15 teams behind Christiana Addison and the men placing 10th out of 16 teams behind Zac Rembolt.
