When you have a core of seniors that is large in number and long in varsity experience, expectations for success run high.
No one is expecting more from this year’s Hillsboro softball team than those eight seniors, who have played together since age 10.

Having graduated a core of six seniors that accounted for nearly two-thirds of the offense from last season’s 8-9 squad, and with a current roster of 14 players with 12 underclassmen, Hillsboro baseball coach Phil Oelke knows his Trojans are in a rebuilding mode this spring.
