The Hillsboro Recreation Commission is sponsoring a dodgeball tournament Nov. 10 at the Hillsboro High School gymnasium.
A completed roster and the $40 entry fee need to be turned into the city offices at 118 E. Grand, or can be mailed to the City of Hillsboro, P.O. Box 125, Hillsboro, KS 67063.
A minimum of six players are required per team, and each player may participate on only one coed roster and one all-female or all-male roster.
Age divisions are: under 12, under 14, under 16, under 18, under 24, under 30 and over 30. A separate set of clean gym shoes is required to wear on the gym floor.

Please have a separate set of clean gym shoes to wear on the gym floor. Volleyballs will be provided.

The open gym is for adult players who would like to get back in the swing of things. Participatns are asked to have a separate set of clean gym shoes to wear on the gym floor.
Volleyballs will be provided.
The HRC also is sponsoring an adult coed volleyball tournament for Saturday, Oct. 20. The entry deadline is Friday, Oct. 12, and the fee is $100.

Pine Edge Golf Course is holding the Goessel Bluebird Golf Scramble this Sunday.
A $40 entry fee includes green fees, prizes and lunch for each two-person team. A maximum of three mulligans can be purchased for $5 or three for $10. Members of the Goessel football team will be available as caddies for a $5 donation to the football program.
All proceeds go toward new equipment for the Goessel High School football program.

Pat Bartel, Hillsboro, won the 2007 Women’s Senior Golf Tournament Thursday at Hillsboro Municipal Golf Course.
Bartel, playing in the 50-59 age division, shot an 83 over 18 holes. The next-best score in the tournament was an 88 by Nancy Alt, Abilene, who won the 60-64 division.
