Sometimes there is too much loss in a short period of time. The abduction and murder of Kelsey Smith in Overland Park is a story that mixes too many emotions in a single pot.

Let’s imagine that you’re looking to lose a few pounds. You could (a) belly dance; (b) starve your belly; or (c) belly laugh.
I know, that’s a tough one. But go ahead, choose letter C. You’ll be happy to learn, as I was, that authentic, deep, spontaneous laughter is a legitimate calorie burner. But none of those phony humor-the-manager or shut-up-the-salesman partial chuckles—it has to be the real
deal.

currently three full-time, 24-hour news networks. —Jon Stewart, host of
cable TV’s “The Daily Show” <p><p>Exactly how many times
can a person be expected to listen to or click on to news stories with
the key words of kidnapping, death toll, abuse, neglect or murder? Do
you watch the nightly news? Log on to Internet news? If so, you must
recognize the same pattern.

Stripped and stained, handed down or fixed up. These kinds of refinished or recycled things are what bring a little cozy into a home and give it a layered feeling—a sense of a history that you can’t quite pinpoint, but know it’s there, buried in the wood and baseboards.
