The Tabor College volleyball team defeated two conference opponents, ran its overall record to 14-10 and leapfrogged into a tie for third place in the KCAC standings last week.
Having edged out McPherson (33-31, 30-26, 24-30, 30-27), Tabor hammered Friends (30-25, 29-31, 30-16, 30-25) on Thursday.

Football is a game for playmakers, and Tabor came up one play short of securing first conference win under head coach Mike Gottsch this week.

Building on Wednesday’s a 3-1 win over Southwestern, the Tabor College men’s soccer team trounced Bethany 7-2 on Saturday. Adrian notched three assists against Bethany and has tallied a total of two goals and four assists in 10 games so far. The team (4-7 overall) improved to 2-3 in conference play. The Southwestern women defeated Tabor 6-1 and Bethany won 4-0. The Bluejay women are 0-5 in conference play and 0-10 overall. Both of the college’s squads have four games remaining on the regular season slate. The women play Friends at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Wichita, Ottawa at 1 p.m. Saturday in Hillsboro, Kansas Wesleyan at 2 p.m. Oct. 17 in Hillsboro and Sterling 11 a.m. Oct. 20 at Sterling, with the men’s games set to follow.
