The Tabor College men were defeated 82-61 in a mid-season exhibition game against Newman University Saturday in Wichita.
The Tabor College women defeated the University of Saint Mary Spires 73-43 Thursday in Hillsboro.
The women jumped to an 8-2 lead. Kirsten Watson nailed a 3-point shot at 15:41, and the lead grew to 11-3 when Addie Cole finished a pass from Joanna Pyle under the basket, and to 15-5 on foul shots by Stacie Herman and Chelsea Malone.

Despite deficits of 10-15 and 60-67, the Bluejay men made short work of the Swedes, winning 92-82. Bethany was picked fourth by the conference coaches. The conference coaches picked the Bluejays ninth in preseason polls.
The Tabor College women’s basketball team emerged from its first week of conference play with an 81-80 win at McPherson to its credit, offsetting a 67-62 loss to Bethany.
The Tabor College men’s basketball team went 1-1 in its final non-conference tune-up games at the Central Missouri State tournament held in Warrensberg, Mo. over the weekend.
The Bluejays lost 92-46 in a difficult matchup against the hosts Friday, and won a more manageable game against Central Bible by a score of 68-64 on Saturday.
