The Marion High School cross country team ran at Peabody last Thursday. Three girls medaled and three others set personal best times in the varsity race.
The Marion volleyball team hosted its home tournament Saturday, going 0-3 in pool play against Eureka (25-22, 20-25, 25-16), Sedgwick (25-19, 25-14) and Wichita Collegiate (27-25, 25-18).
After running well at Stafford on Thursday, the Eagles got some good
news this week, with Nathan Bray being medically cleared to run in the
next race. Bray had been out with a broken arm.

A three-touchdown explosion in the second quarter turned a potential repeat into a rout as Hillsboro rolled to a 48-13 win at Haven on Friday.
The Trojans actually trailed 7-6 after the first quarter in a game that was following an eerily similar storyline to last week’s overtime loss at Nickerson.
