The Hillsboro Trojans will host their annual Trojan Invitational volleyball tournament Saturday.
Chapman, Conway Springs, Hoisington, Marion, Minneapolis, Oskaloosa and Sterling will join Hillsboro in the eight-team field.
Seeds will be determined later this week, but Hoisington, ranked No. 1 in Class 3A and undefeated in the Mid-Central Activities Association, will be the top seed at 25-1.
Hillsboro comes in at 20-4.
Pool play begins at 9 a.m.
The Trojans claimed three wins at a quadrangular last Tuesday at Halstead. Hillsboro defeated Collegiate (25-11, 25-11), Halstead (25-5, 25-23) and Marion (25-11, 25-18).
Marion will come to Saturday’s tournament with a 6-17 mark.
Hillsboro was scheduled for its final regular-season home appearance Tuesday with league matches against Hesston and Smoky Valley. Collegiate was also part of the quadrangular.
The Cougars finished second to Hope at the Eisenhower League volleyball tournament at Hope.
Centre, the fourth seed, defeated fifth seed Flint Hills (25-17, 25-14) and sixth seed St. Xavier (25-9, 25-12) before losing to top seed Hope (23-25, 9-25).

The Hillsboro volleyball team didn’t win the top prize at the always-competitive Canton-Galva Invitational on Saturday. But coming home with a 4-1 record, a third-place finish and two wins over Hesston was nice consolation.
“I thought it was a good day for us and we gained some confidence from it,” coach Sandy Arnold said as her team improved to 17-4 for the season.
