Lance Daniel Selznick, 19, of Lincolnville, current senior at Centre High School and student assistant for the boy’s basketball team, died Jan. 9 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Burdick.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13 at the Centre High School Gymnasium, rural Lost Springs. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion.
He was born Sept. 26, 1988, in Northridge, Calif.
He is survived by his parents, Dan and Karen Selznick of Lincolnville, and Debra Selznick of Simi Valley, Calif.; a half-sister, Deanna Johnson of Simi Valley; a step-brother, Brandon Hurt of Abilene; a step-sister, Kristen and Andre Ebaben of Lincolnville; grandparents, Jack and Eileen Selznick of Simi Valley; and a step-grandparent, Carol Brooks of Lincolnville.
A memorial fund has been established with Dickinson County Camp 911 for youth education of emergency situations in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, P.O. Box 6, Marion, KS 66861.
Lewis J. Hiebert, 81, former Hesston Corp (Agco) employee and former Central Christian Church employee in Wichita, died Jan. 10 at Manor Care Nursing Home in Wichita.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Jan. 16 at Central Christian Church.
He was born March 11, 1926, to John and Elizabeth (Goossen) Hiebert in Hillsboro. On Sept. 21, 1946, he was married to Margaret June Beseda, who predeceased him.
He is survived by a daughter, Diane and Butch Bruenger; a brother, Charles and Joann Hiebert; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of Miller Funeral Home of Hesston.
Lisa D. Ragsdale, 44, of Shawnee, died Jan. 6 at the University of Kansas Hospital.
Memorial services will be 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at Shawnee Presbyterian Church, 6837 Nieman Road, Shawnee, KS. Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. prior to the service.
She was born Feb. 4, 1963, to Rex and Margaret Wilson in Pratt.
She is survived by her husband, Brent P. Ragsdale and four children, Blaine, Logan, Jeremy and Vivian, all of the home; her parents of Marion; a brother, Kevin and Janet Wilson of Bentonville, Ark.; a foster brother, Kevin and Loraine McGahee of Shawnee; and maternal grandmother, Florence Macy of Marion.
