DEATH: Sri-Chol (Sheree) Mickey-Brown, 47

Sri-Chol (Sheree) Mickey-Brown, 47, of Hillsboro, employed at the Harvey County SRS office, died March 14 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 18, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 229 Walnut St., Marion.
She was born Dec. 16, 1965, in Bangkok, Thailand. On Sept. 11, 1998, she was married to Elmer Mickey, who survives.
Other survivors include son Mathew Brown of Washington D.C.; brother Jeremiah Frist of California; sister, Jenifer Fletcher of Lodiburg, Ky.; parents, Jack E. and Porn (Chanthorn) Frist of Sierra Vista, Ariz.

DEATH: Karen Rae McIntosh, 77

Karen Rae McIntosh, 77, of Hutchinson and, a grade school teacher for more than 40 years, died March 13 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, in Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W. Fourth St., Hutchinson, with Pastor Linda Ewert officiating. She was cremated.
She was born Feb. 23, 1936, to Victor Warren and Thelma Rita Baker Keckler at Hutchinson. On Aug. 11, 1957, she was married to Elvin Eugene McIntosh, who survives.
Other survivors include son David McIntosh of Hutchinson; daughter Sheri Ann and Marlin Janzen of Goessel; four grandchildren; sister Vicki Poe of Newton; brothers Robert Keckler of Newton and Steve Keckler of Denver, Colo.

DEATH: Goldie May Dodson, 101

Goldie May Dodson, 101, co-owner of a jewelry store and retired city clerk of Moline, died March 12 at Salem Home in Hillsboro.
The funeral was at 11 a.m. March 15 at the Moline Baptist Church, 219 E. Second St., Moline. Burial was at Moline Cemetery. Moline.
Survivors include three granddaughters Patty Austin of Liberal, Pamela Collins of Matfield Green and Dayla Nelson of Florence.
Memorials may be made to the Moline Baptist Church and donations sent in care of Miles Funeral Service, 4001 E. Ninth Ave., Winfield, KS 67156. in charge of all arrangements.

HMS vocal entries fare well at contest

Hillsboro Middle School students competed at the middle school vocal festival March 5 at Smoky Valley Middle School.
Groups receiving a “I” rating were: Choir, Mixed Ensemble 1, Mixed Ensemble 3, 7th Grade Girls and 7th Grade Boys.
Groups receiving a “II” rating were: Mixed Ensemble 2, 8th Grade Girls, 8th Grade Boys.
Soloists receiving a “I” rating were Ashley Brazil, Anna Glanzer, Callie Linnens, Vance Klassen, Josiah Melton, Mesa Merrell, Samantha Moss, Chloe Pankratz, Tyson Reimer, Aby Sechrist, Madi Sheppard and Savanah Unruh.
Karlee Ghahremanzedeh received a “II” rating.
