CG&S directors distribute $4,800 among four school districts

The board of directors of Cooperative Grain & Supply, in partnership with the Land O?Lakes Foundation, distributed a check for $1,200 to each of the four school districts represented in their service area: USD 408 Marion-Florence, USD 410 Durham-Hillsboro-Lehigh, USD 419 Canton-Galva and USD 411 Goessel. According to Lyman Adams, CG&S general manager, the board felt it should use the matching funds this year to support the efforts of local school districts to provide an education for students. In the top photo, Tim Summervill (far left), director from the East District, presents the check to USD 410 Superintendent Lee Leiker while Jay Bullinger (far right), from the West District, hands a check to Bill Seidel, superintendent of USD 419. In the lower photo, Kevin Suderman (far left), from the Central District, presents a check to Evan Yoder, USD 410 elementary school principal, and Matt Voth (far right) from the West District hands the check to John Fast (immediate right), USD 411 superintendent and elementary school principal and Scott Boden, high school principal. This is the 12th year CG&S has participated in the Land O?Lakes matching-fund program. The partnership has resulted in more than $75,000 in donations to community projects, including local fire departments, colleges, 4-H clubs, hospitals and various organizations. ?CG&S believes in supporting the communities that we are a part of, and by using the funds available from LOL Foundation, CG&S has been able to double the amount given,?
