Anderson to graduate from state program

Traci Anderson, Hillsboro, will be among 13 Kansans to graduate from Partners in Policymaking, an advocacy training program sponsored by the Kansas Council on Developmental Disabilities.

A ceremony and reception is planned for Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Ramada Inn in Topeka.

Program trainees, which included adults with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities, received 128 hours of instruction over eight two-day sessions from March through November.

In addition, each participant completed homework assignments and selected a personal project, such as spearheading efforts to increase accessibility, or assuming leadership roles in educating others in his or her community.
