Starting today (Wednesday, May 15) a section of U.S. Highway 77 in Marion and Butler counties will be under construction. Beginning at the K-256 junction (three miles east of Marion) then south to the El Dorado north city limit in Butler County, U.S. 77 will receive a 0.75-inch mill and 1.5-inch overlay.
Traffic control will be handled by flaggers and pilot car. The construction zone will be in effect during daylight hours. Delays of up to 15 minutes may occur.
Plans call for the project to be completed on or about July 8th weather permitting. APAC Kansas Inc., Shears Division, is the prime contractor. Project cost is $4,554,371.
