Sedgwick used an 18-8 second quarter run to jump into the driver's seat on the way to a 52-38 win over the Goessel High School boys basketball team Friday. The GHS girls took a 43-35 loss despite 19 points from Kendra Flaming. A 13-8 Goessel run cut into Sedgwick's lead, but the Bluebirds trailed 19-16 at halftime. Sedgwick used a 14-8 third quarter to take control, and held GHS at an arm's length in the fourth.
