A men’s coffee is planned for 2:30 p.m., Friday. Come for coffee, conversation and games. The January birthday dinner will be held at noon, Jan. 24. Everyone is welcome to celebrate with those who had birthdays this month. “The Ransom of Red Chief” will be shown after the meal. JoAnn Knak will be at the center for lunch Jan. 26 to speak on “Help in Emergencies.” After her presentation, games, gab and goodies are on the schedule for the afternoon. The following volunteered their time at the Senior Center last week. Kitchen: Gladys Jantz, Nellie Jost, Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Judy Malin, Gladys Thiessen, Hilda Ratzloff, Lydia Pankratz, Mariann Unruh and Rose Hatcher. Jan. 20: Barbecue chicken, rice pilaf, coleslaw, whole-wheat roll, apple crisp. Jan. 21: Ham/macoroni/cheese, stewed tomatoes, pears, whole-wheat roll. Jan. 24: Swedish meatballs, herbed potatoes, green beans, mandarin orange Jell-O, whole-wheat bread. Jan. 25: Taco salad or taco burger, pineapple, chips/bun, Amish super cookie. Jan. 26: Roast pork, mashed potatoes/ gravy, spinach or cabbage, whole-wheat roll, pumpkin cake.
