It A video, “Fighting Disease: the Immune System,” will be shown after lunch Thursday at the Senior Center. It answers the question of how our body copes with bacteria and virus invaders. Tax help is available, free of charge, at the Senior Center from 1 to 4 p.m., each Tuesday and Friday of February. No appointment is necessary. On Monday, Feb. 7, a video, “Low-Fat Film,” will be shown after lunch. It teaches people how to recognize low-fat foods in their diets. Sign up now for the Valentine luncheon, to be held at noon, Feb. 14. The German Singers are on the program, performing old songs with a new flavor. Call for reservations or sign up on the bulletin board. The following volunteered at the center last week. Kitchen - Esther Pankratz, Nellie Jost, Rose Hatcher, Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Judy Malin, Millie Hanneman, Mildred Harding, Betty Bernhardt, Mariann Unruh and Velda Hiebert. Meal drivers - Lonn Richards and Velber Bevan. FISH transportation - Eldon Knak, Jeri Klose, Gladys Schmidt and Malinda Suderman. SENIOR MENU Feb. 2: Vegetable cheese biscuit, harvard beets, biscuit, fresh orange. Feb. 3: Teriyaki chicken, rice pilaf, herbed carrots, apple muffin, strawberries and bananas. Feb. 4: BBQ beef on a bun, potato soup, crackers, seasoned cabbage, chocolate chip cookie. Feb. 7: Lemon fish, parsley potatoes, carrot/raisin salad, whole wheat bread, chocolate chip cookie. Feb. 8: Chuckwagon steak, herbed potatoes, peas, whole wheat roll, strawberry jello. Feb. 9: Hamburger on a bun, lettuce/tomato, fresh orange, three bean salad, cinnamon roll.
