Adeline B. Makovec, 93, homemaker, died Feb. 5. Services were held Feb. 9 at the Holy Family Catholic Adeline B. Makovec, 93, homemaker, died Feb. 5. Services were held Feb. 9 at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Marion, with celebrant Steve Gronert and Matt Newhouse officiating. Burial was at Marion Cemetery, St. Mark’s Section. She was born Nov. 29, 1906, near Pilsen. On Oct. 2, 1934, she was married to Oscar Makovec, who predeceased her. Survivors include a son, Jerry and his wife Faye of Marion; a half brother, Alex Stuchlik of Lost Springs; two sisters, Angela Tajchman of Marion and Mary Jane Steiner of Wichita; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A memorial fund has been established for the Holy Family Catholic Church.
