Mary Hiebert Neal, 51, educator at Hillsboro Elementary and Middle school, died Feb. 19 at Via Christ-St. Mary Hiebert Neal, 51, educator at Hillsboro Elementary and Middle school, died Feb. 19 at Via Christ-St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita. Services were held Feb. 23 at Hillsboro United Methodist Church, with Larry Parrish officiating. She was born April 8, 1948 to George Carl Hiebert and Mabel Violet Wall in Los Angeles. On Oct. 9, 1977, she was married to Gaylan Neal, who survives her. She is also survived by a son, Wayne of Oklahoma, Okla.; four daughters, Bonnie Wilson of Tacoma, Wash., Vessa Cartmill of Baton Rouge, La., Mary Anne Kates of Noble, Okla., and Angie Wilson of Norman, Okla.; a sister, G. Annette Hench of Claremont, Calif.; and six grandchildren. A memorial fund has been established for the Hillsboro United Methodist Church.
