SENIOR SCRIBBLES

Because of the Hillsboro Senior Center closing on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Mary McFadden will visit Tuesday, Jan. 16, to take blood pressure and give foot care by appointment.

The AARP defensive-driving class to be offered by Jona Baltzer has been rescheduled for 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 10 and 12 at a $10 fee. Participants of any driving age may complete both days to be eligible for auto-insurance discounts. Call for reservations.

Service, Employment and Redevelopment's local representative Evelyn Schmidt of Goessel will give a presentation Jan. 11 on SER's business of training job seekers.

Beginning Jan. 1, full-pay prices for meals increased to $4.50, an adjustment necessary to comply with the Older American Act. The suggested contribution for eligible, registered participants will remain at $2.75.

Those who would like to begin receiving the monthly newsletter can call 947-2301 or stop by the center.

A big thank-you to our weekly volunteers. HILLSBORO SENIOR CENTER MENU
