Marion Boosters to meet Jan. 9

Marion Baseball/Softball Boosters are invited to the first membership meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, in the city building basement.

Anyone who has a business sign at the baseball/softball complex, and anyone who has paid to have a name on the individual booster sign board at the complex is invited to this meeting.

This is an opportunity to offer ideas for how the boosters should spend these donations.

For the past few years the Baseball/Softball Boosters have raised money from these signs, as well as from running the concession stand at the complex.

These monies have been spent each year on various improvements to the complex, as well as purchasing new ball equipment for participating youth teams.

Anyone interested in becoming a Booster sponsor is also invited to attend this meeting. For more information, call Margo Yates at 620-382-3425.
